We would suggest that this role would be best performed as 3 out of 5 days a week in the office on average.

You will receive regular training, and you’ll be given time and support to ensure that you are comfortable with your daily tasks. What will you receive by working at Finance Box?
Full time salary range is between £28,000 and £32,000 per annum, based on full-time position and experience.

We offer 20 days holiday, plus the 8 days bank holidays. We also offer a day of extra holiday for your birthday as unquestioned, automatically approved time off. As long as we have cover in place, we are a flexible company allowing our team to take holiday when they need it - this mean that you can work on a bank holiday and instead take a day off another time. Why not... you choose when you work!

The opportunity in the team is full time (Monday-Friday) to be the support our clients need.

We'll contribute to your pension scheme at 3%.

We organise team events at least twice a year, to get together and get to know each other better on a personal level. Some previous events have been BBQs, games day, dinners.

For all this, we’ll need some work to be done in return. Here’s what we currently need your support with. You will:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across different sectors of different sizes
  • Management Accounting
    • Report designing
    • Accruals & prepayments
    • Fixed Asset and depreciation
    • Lease reconcilation
    • Variance analysis and commentary o Sales reconcilations
    • Balance sheet reconcilations
    • KPI analysis
    • Query management
  • Forecasting
    • Building variables from macro-level events into a forecast plan to plot future sales and costs
    • Collaborating with clients to understand their business and indirect growth considerations
  • Year End Accounts Prep
    • Taking a trial balance and providing a full balance sheet lead schedule pack with P&L review ready for annual accounts preparation
  • App Advisory
    • To learn the apps at our disposal to a level where you can advise clients on their application and usage.
    • To spot opportunities for routine tasks to be automated
  • VAT Returns
  • Process support to aid automation, accuracy and control
  • Cashflow planning and reporting
  • P11D support
  • Self Assessments for personal tax
  • CRM maintenance to ensure data is relevant, up to date and reliable.
  • Client onboarding.
  • Team support for routine admin tasks to support client requirements.
  • You will have the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at varying levels with our clients.
  • Admin – ad-hoc and general administration assistance as needed from time to time by clients

The majority of the above would be routine work and would be making use of workflows, automations and templates already tried and tested within the team.

Bookkeeping will already have been processed for you by our superhero team of bookkeepers so that your data is ready when you need it.

Platforms you will be using;
At Finance Box we believe that every superhero needs a sidekick – and our sidekicks are the apps we use in our processes. We use many apps, but mainly the following;

  • Microsoft Office
  • macOS
  • Xero
  • Hubdoc
  • ApprovalMax
  • Pleo
  • Senta
  • Fathom
  • Slack
    You will be given training on these, but knowledge of these before you start with us would be advantageous.

As accountants – we use Microsoft Excel a lot. Knowledge of a range of formulas will be expected.
